An Icon In The Automotive Industry – Luxury Impersonated By Cadillac

Henry Leland an entrepreneur and master mechanic founded the Cadillac in 1902, naming it after the founder of Detroit, Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac. Even the historic coat of arms of the family served as inspiration for the crest of Cadillac. Only a few years later in 1908 the foundation was laid for mass production when it demonstrated interchangeability between precision parts. During the 1910s, Cadillac produced the first car featuring an electric self-starter, lighting, and ignition. This awarded Cadillac the second Dewar trophy of distinction in ten years. During 1915, Cadillac produced its first signature of its brand, V-type, water-cooled, eight cylinder engine.

Making great strides in the motor manufacturing industry nearly fifty years on in 1950 car production exceeds 100, 000 per annum and with innovation secured their spot as a definite icon in the motor industry. Changing crests through the years, the Wreathed Crest made its appearance again in the 1963 Eldorado. In the same year, Cadillac introduced their first front seatbelts, which was standard law in the flowing year. The first automatically controlled headlamps, thermostatically regulated heating, electric seat warmers, air-conditioning system, venting, and stereo radio followed in rapid succession in by 1965. Ten years later in 1975 Cadillac became the first car manufacturer in the U.S. to manufacture electronically fuel-injected engines.

Looking at a car manufacturer with a range of models such as Cadillac it is impossible to name o few, but looking at the Cadillac ELR Coupe it is the provocative embodiment of inspiration and imagination. With uncompromising luxury, it is the car for those who seek opportunities to move in a different world. The ELR is a perfect balance of Science and Art combined in a motor vehicle. Featuring an onboard generator powered by gas and advanced electric drive system, active aero grill shutters, LED headlamps, Jeweled headlamps and too much to mention it leaves you speechless.

The Cadillac SRX being their mid-sized crossover with an option of all wheel drive or front wheel drive made it Cadillac’s best selling model to date. Although it has only been in production for six years and one of the youngest in the Cadillac ranges it is still the best seller. During its debut Northstar V6 and V8 engines and an option of five-speed or six-speed gearboxes powered the vehicles and was available either in all-wheel or rear-wheel drive. The latest model SRX is an edgier, modern car than its predecessor and only V6 engines manufactured. The latest SRX model comes with a revamped powertrain line-up; the engine is now a larger 3.6-liter V6 with 308 horsepower as opposed to the previously used 2.8 liter turbocharged v6 and the 3-liter V-6.

Keero was really helpful over the phone. He asked a couple of questions and we figured out straight away that the problem was most likely a dead battery. Phil was in the area and arrived in less than 40 minutes. Got a new battery and I was back up and running again. Thanks guys.
