Cagiva motorbike & motorcycle and its battery

Cagiva was founded in the year 1950 by in Italy. It initially used to produce only small metal components but started producing motorcycles in the year 1978. The company has been successful in the motorcycle business right from the start as within a year of starting production; it was producing approximately 40,000 motorbikes annually. The production was balanced between eight models which had two stroke engines. These engines ranged from 125 cc to 350 cc. It became so successful that it acquired the Ducati motorcycles in the year 1985. It decided to use the Ducati brand name as it was much better recognized worldwide.

Over the years, Cagiva has produced many iconic models such as Mito, Roadster, Prima, Raptor, Aletta, Xtra Raptor and many others. In addition to the road motorbikes, it has also produced many off-road bikes under the WMX series. Some models under this series are WMX 125, WMX 220, WMX 500, MXR 500 amongst others. Cagiva has also produced many adventure motorbikes. Some of the popular adventure motorbike models produced by Cagiva are SXT 125, T4 350, Elefant 350, Ala Blu, Canyon 500, Canyon 600, Cruiser, Tamanaco, Cocis, Navigator, N90 amongst various others.

At the start of the 1980s, Cagiva stated to campaign for and participate in Grand prix motorcycle racing. It achieved its first podium finish in the year 1992. Since 1992, they have continued to participate in many motorcycle racing championships across the world in addition to some of the most well-known motorcycle rallies and have achieved many top positions. There was a time, when Cagiva owned the Ducati, MV Agusta and Husqvarna in the 90s. However due to a massive restructuring in the late 90s, the company did not have the financial resources to hold on to all of these iconic brands and had to sell off a majority of them to raise finances.

One of the popular models made by Cagiva is the Roadster 521. It was launched by the manufacturer in the 1990s and at the time of its launch, it was one of the fastest accelerating motorbikes with capacity of 125 cc. This model has a top speed of 80 mph and can achieve 70 miles per gallon. The two stroke engine provides a maximum power of 15.5 HP at 7500 rpm. It is estimated that only 40 of this model remain in existence worldwide.

Cagiva motorbikes have been known for their reliability and excellent performance over the years. However, performance of the motorbike is dependent on the regular maintenance of its components. Without regular maintenance, no motorbike can perform well for a long time. Thanks for the great service. I didn’t realise that getting a battery delivered and installed cost less than buying it in the shops. I’ll be telling all my mates about Roadside Response.

Keero was really helpful over the phone. He asked a couple of questions and we figured out straight away that the problem was most likely a dead battery. Phil was in the area and arrived in less than 40 minutes. Got a new battery and I was back up and running again. Thanks guys.
